Lamar Day 2019 will be celebrated on Friday, January 25, 2019 and everyone is invited according to the Sons of the Republic of Texas area chapters. 

On Friday, January 25, 2019 Fort Bend will honor President Lamar at his grave site in Morton Cemetery in Richmond Texas with a ceremony which is in its' 11th year. Various organizations participate and the Mayor of Richmond typically reads a proclamation. The ceremony begins at 10:30 am for approximately 45 minutes.
