The Richmond Police Department, in efforts to promote the concept of Wide Angle Policing, has broken the city down into beats. This allows each officer to concentrate on their assigned beats.

Beat 1 - Located in North Richmond, Beat one is everything north of Clay Street.  The area of town commonly known as The Heights and includes George Park.

Beat 2 - The boundaries of beat 2 are south of T.L. Pink Blvd. (Clay Street) to the Union Pacific railroad tracks and west of Collins Road to the city limits.

Beat 3 - The boundaries of beat 3 are south of Clay Street to the Union Pacific railroad tracks and east of Collins Road to North Tenth Street.

Beat 4 - The boundaries of Beat 4 are south of Clay Street to the Union Pacific railroad tracks and east of North Tenth Street to the Brazos River.

Beat 5 - The boundaries of beat 5 are east of the BNSF railroad tracks to South Eleventh/FM 762/Thompson Highway and north of FM 1640 to the Union Pacific railroad tracks.

Beat 6 - The boundaries of Beat 6 are east of South Eleventh to the Brazos River and South of the Union Pacific railroad tracks to Austin/Loop FM 762.

Beat 7 - Beat seven includes everything within the city limits that is east of the Brazos River.

Beat 8 - Beat eight is located south of Austin/Loop FM 762 to the bayou and east of South Eleventh to the Brazos River.  This area of town is commonly known as Freeman Town.

Beat 9 - The boundaries of Beat 9 are west of the BNSF railroad tracks to the city limits and north of FM 1640.

Beat 10 - The boundaries of Beat 10 are south of the Y.M.C.A.  to the city limits and east of FM 762/Thompson Highway to the Brazos River.

Beat 11 - Beat 11 is our business district and includes all business in the FM 1640 and FM 2218 section of  the city.

Beat 14 - This beat includes all property within the Richmond City Limits along FM 359.
