30 Day Extensions

If you cannot pay the fine and court costs immediately upon entry of judgment you may have an extension of time of up to thirty (30) days within which to pay. A single extension not exceeding thirty (30) days can be obtained from the clerks at the window with half payment down. If the amount owed isn’t paid by the 31st day a one time $15.00 time payment reimbursement fee per violation will be added.

Time Payment Plans

Any person receiving a citation may request time to pay his/her fine by completing a financial application. Use of the payment plan will result in a guilty conviction being reported to DPS as required by law.

You will be required to :
  • Bring a state issued Identification Card or Driver’s License (If you cannot provide one you may be required to appear at a scheduled court date)
  • Fill out a pay plan application/financial statement (Information provided is subject to verification)
  • Interview may be conducted based on the information you have provided to determine your eligibility to pay
  • At the time of your request a minimum of $100.00 down is required to begin payment plan

The amount of payments and due dates will be determined by the clerk.

If the request for additional time to pay is granted, the $15.00 "time payment reimbursement fee" will be assessed required by State Law per Article 102.030 of the Code of Criminal Procedure

If any portion of the fines, fees and costs is paid after the 31st day from the date of judgment, the $15.00 time payment reimbursement fee must be added as required by law.

It is YOUR responsibility to notify the court if you are unable to pay within the time allowed. You may appear for a Show Cause Hearing on the first Thursday of the month to explain your non-compliance to the Judge. (Check in between 10:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. please call the court to verify date)
