If you do not wish to appear in court but wish only to pay the amount of your citation, you may do so before the time of arraignment that is shown on your citation. However, violators 16 years of age or under must appear in court accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
If you are unable to pay the fine and court costs, you may appear before the Judge any Thursday (check-in before 8:30 a.m.) for information on payment alternatives.

Pay by mail - You can mail in your fine, fee, payment to the City of Richmond. Please send all payments to:

Pay in person - You can pay the Municipal Court clerk in person from 8:00 A.M. until 4:30 P.M. Monday through Friday, except for major holidays.
Pay via drop box - You can pay by dropping the payment in the drop box located on the outside of the Municipal Court building, which is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
*Note: Payment may be made by cash, cashier's check, money order, Master Card, or Visa. Cashier’s checks and money orders should be made payable to the order of the City of Richmond. In a misdemeanor case arising out of a moving traffic violation for which the maximum possible punishment is a fine only, the payment of a fine or an amount accepted by the Municipal Court constitutes a finding of guilty in open court, as though a plea of nolo contendere had been entered by the defendant.
