Next Friday, September 6, is ‘first Friday’ again featuring Richmond Farmers Market and the Disney movie, Encanto, at Wessendorff park- these months sure are speeding by. The November movie pushes back to Friday, November 22nd, same weekend as Pecan Harvest Festival on Saturday, November 23rd. Watch these social pages and City’s website calendar for more information on these events Richmond.
Another event coming your way is the Fall Document Shred Event brought by Keep Richmond Beautiful and the City of Richmond on Saturday, October 19th, 9 am- 12 Noon. This event is free for those customers who receive their Utility bill from the City of Richmond.

Can you believe Labor Day holiday is already upon us. Labor Day was first created in 1894 as a federal holiday to recognize the many contributions workers made to America’s prosperity and strength. This brings to my mind all the hard-working people who work to serve the citizens of Richmond and contribute to make Richmond a better place to live, work and play. Thank You, City of Richmond employees for your daily commitment to the citizens of Richmond! Enjoy your Labor Day holiday- stay safe and cool.
